The German Bible Society (Deutsche Bibelgesellschaft), based in Stuttgart, is a church foundation incorporated under public law, which publishes bibles and has bible-missionary activities.

The Bible Society arose from merge of the Evangelische Bibelwerk und Deutsche Bibelstiftung. Members of the plenary meeting are the representatives from 29 regional Bible Societies, 14 denominations, christian institutions and individuals.

Together with 144 other Bible Societies worldwide, the DBG translates, produces and distributes the Holy Scriptures. Our aim is to provide the bible for all people in their mother-tongue for an affordable price. The Aktion Weltbibelhilfe supports various translation-projects in poorer countries by raising funds.
